The course covers key legislation such as Republic Act No. 7920, Republic Act No. 7832, the Philippine Electrical Code (PEC), the Philippine Grid Code, the Philippine Distribution Code, the National Building Code, the Fire Code of the Philippines, and other relevant rules and regulations issued by government agencies. Students will also study the roles and responsibilities of electrical engineers, licensing requirements, workplace safety, and compliance with national standards.
In addition, the course emphasizes professional ethics by examining the ethical responsibilities of electrical engineers toward the public, clients, employers, colleagues, and the environment. Topics include integrity, accountability, competence, sustainability, conflict of interest, confidentiality, and ethical decision-making in engineering practice.
