Practical mensuration; proper selection and safe use of hand and power tools; common engineering shop 
materials and processes, basic machining, welding and foundry. Students will learn to accurately measure 
dimensions, properly select and safely utilize both hand and power tools commonly found in engineering 
shop materials and processes, exploring basic machining techniques, welding principles, and foundational 
concepts of foundry operations. Through hands-on activities and real-world applications, this course aims to 
equip learners with essential skills to confidently work with tools, sustainably manipulate materials, and 
execute basic engineering processes with precision and safety.
