The course provides male and female students with a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental concepts, strategies, and technologies involved in safeguarding agricultural crops from various biotic and abiotic stressors. It deals specifically with the identification, biology and ecology of pests (plant diseases, insects and weeds) including invasive species and their natural enemies and introduction to pest population management. This course will contribute to the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals: SDG 2 - Zero Hunger and 3 - Good Health and Well-Being.
