This course provides engineering students with a solid foundation in data analysis techniques essential for solving real-world problems and conducting academic researches. It covers data collection methods, data presentation, probability theory, statistical inference, regression and correlation analysis, experimental design, and an introduction to data optimization through response surface methodology. Emphasis is placed on the ability to select appropriate data collection techniques, effectively present and interpret data, and apply statistical tools to analyze and optimize engineering data. The course also integrates the use of appropriate statistical software to support efficient data analysis and enable informed, data-driven decision-making.
