This course will focus on how novels, stories, and films represent technology. This course also explores the properties of non-sequential, multi-linear, and interactive forms of narratives as they have evolved from print to digital media. This course also investigates how digital technology and the “information culture” it produces affect the way we read, study, and understand literature. We are asked: What happens to literature and “the literary” in an age of digital technology? What is digital literature or electronic literature?
