Addressing the educational needs of special learners from ages 0 to 9 years old with an emphasis on early intervention and home-school partnership, and current intervention research. Students will learn the basic steps involved in early intervention, including evaluating a child (baby, toddler, school-age child) and identifying his or her needs, determining what services are required, and implementing early intervention activities.
Course Description:
This course provides an understanding and knowledge on the K–12 general/basic education curriculum in mathematics and science and adaptations for learners with additional needs. These adaptations are intended to provide students/learners with special needs the opportunity to maximize their full potentials.
This course enables students to better understand the K-12 general/regular basic education curriculum in language and literacy and adaptations appropriate for learners with additional needs. These adaptations aims to create learning conditions appropriate to learners’ needs that provide timely response to their needs.
