The course gives emphasis on urban transportation planning, design and operation using statistical and modeling techniques and computer methods. It also covers capacity and level of service of air, rail, and highway. It also includes safety, environmental impacts and mitigation, transportation policy fundamentals and case studies.

The course seeks to introduce the students to the basic theories and tools of management and decision-making. It tackles in detail the functions of management in managing the following aspects of a corporation: production, service operations, marketing and finance functions. This course will enable the students to acquire and develop skills in defining, planning, and monitoring engineering projects using basic engineering management tools and techniques.
