This course covers an essential foundation in image processing which includes theoretical and applied principles. Topics include image data formats and color representation, reading and writing images using modern tools, contrast manipulation and enhancement, filters in the image domain, and dimensionality reduction.
This course explores the current and potential future impacts of new, emerging, and rapidly evolving technologies on organizations and their operations across a range of industries and sectors. Students will gain insights into these technologies and how these organizations are coping (or not) with the resulting disruption. In addition to tools and best practices, students examine the challenges and opportunities in designing projects that implement new and emerging technologies.
Practicum is an experiential learning program that immerses students in the information technology industry, allowing them to apply the knowledge, skills, and professional attitudes acquired in the classroom while gaining meaningful workplace experience. The University and the host training establishment (HTE) shall establish learning expectations through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) or Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). In exceptional circumstances, alternative practicum arrangements may be implemented in accordance with University policies and applicable government regulations while ensuring that the intended learning outcomes are achieved
