The Library Internship is a required component of the LIS program that provides students with hands-on experience in various library and information settings, including academic, government, school, and public libraries.

Aligned with SDG 4 (Quality Education), the course offers supervised experiential learning where students apply core LIS skills and strengthen professional competencies. Under SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), it develops workplace readiness, leadership, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. In support of SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions), it promotes ethical information management, sustainable library practices, and accountable service.

Course Details:
LPr 421 – Library in Practice II (In-Campus) is a 3-unit course for fourth-year students.
