This course examines principles, factors, and context of language acquisition and learning based on theories and
research findings. Specifically, this course shall deal with the examination and analysis of second language
acquisition, teaching and learning principles and methods that are essential in creating effective learning
contexts that enhance the student's own learning potential.
This is a course that focuses on the principles, development and utilization of conventional assessment tools to improve the teaching-learning process. It emphasizes the use of assessment of, as and for in measuring knowledge, comprehension and other thinking skills. It allows the students to go through the standard steps in test construction and development and application of grading systems.
