This course develops students' knowledge, skills, and attitudes in applying ergonomic principles and facility planning concepts to create safe, efficient, and productive work environments in the hospitality industry. It covers the planning and design of ergonomic workstations that enhance employee performance and well-being; the selection of workstation furnishings that provide flexibility, comfort, and adaptability; the design of appropriate lighting systems to ensure adequate illumination for various work activities; and the implementation of noise control measures to support safe, comfortable, and efficient workplace operations. The course also emphasizes the integration of human factors and workplace design to improve occupational health, operational efficiency, and service quality in hospitality organizations.
